Important Infection Prevention Update – Mask Wearing

Due to a continued rise in flu and other respiratory illnesses locally and nationally, our Infection Prevention and Control team has recommended a return to universal mask-wearing in the practice.

 

From today, all patients and staff are asked to wear a mask while in the building, unless this is clinically inappropriate.

This decision follows guidance from UKHSA, NHS England, and local public health teams, and is in line with measures already in place across local hospitals and healthcare providers. We will review this regularly and step down the requirement as soon as it’s safe to do so.
